For almost one century since foundation, DAIICHI KOGYO has been constantly evolving.
Our company was founded as Shinohara & Co., in 1924, a time of chaos following the 1923 Great Kanto Earthquake, in light of the projected future building construction rush and the future heating equipment that would be essential for these buildings. In December 1929, we became a joint-stock company and changed our name to DAIICHI KOGYO CO., LTD. In 1947, we established the Conveyor System Division with the opportunity of construction of a conveyor system for the Tokyo Central Post Office, which had adopted automatic loading equipment. This built the foundations to become the air conditioning/plumbing and sanitary/conveyor systems company we are today.
